Entry List announced as GP3 Testing Arrives in Barcelona

1 Mins read

The third and final GP3 series pre-season test gets underway tomorrow at the Circuit de Catalunya in Spain. 25 of the 26 drivers that ran in last weeks Jerez test return, with only Austrian driver Christopher Hoher stepping aside for Swiss youngster Matheo Tuscher at Jenzer Motorsport.

Barcelona will see the teams and drivers make their final preparations for the opening event of the season, which will also occur at the circuit. Carlin driver Alex Lynn has been the man to beat so far, with the Red Bull backed driver topping the Estoril test, and has not been out of the top three in any test day to date. His team-mate Emil Bernstorff has also been near the top pretty much every day so far, so the two Carlin boys will be hoping to continue their good form.

The three ART Grand Prix drivers of Alex Fontana, Marvin Kirchhofer and Dino Zamparelli should be near the front too, as well as Robert Visoiu and Patrick Niederhauser of Arden International, Nick Yelloly and Richie Stanaway of Status Grand Prix, Jimmy Eriksson and Santiago Urrutia of Koiranen GP, Roman de Beer of Trident Racing, and Dean Stoneman of Marussia Manor Racing.

Of course other drivers could step up; that is the great thing about the GP3 series, it brings the best out of drivers.
