Denis Nagulin, Nelson Mason and Beitske Visser are the final three names to be confirmed for this weekend’s first round of the GP3 Series in Spain. Nagulin will be racing for Trident Racing, while Mason and Visser will be racing for Hilmer Motorsport.
Russian Nagulin tested for Trident in the pre-season tests at Jerez and Barcelona, and has signed to drive for the team alongside the already confirmed South African Roman de Beer and Brazilian Victor Carbone.
Canadian Mason also tested in Jerez and Barcelona for his new team, but also tested for Trident in the first pre-season test in Estoril before switching to Hilmer alongside the already confirmed Ivan Taranov.
For Visser, it will be here first time in a GP3 car this weekend in Spain, having not tested at all during the off-season. She is already racing in the Formula Renault 3.5 series for AV Formula, and now adds GP3 to her schedule. She becomes the second woman to be confirmed in the series after Koiranen GP confirmed Carmen Jorda.
All three drivers are series rookies, bringing the total number of rookies to 13. Hilmer Motorsport are also making their debut in the series and all three of its drivers are also new to the series.
