1 Mins read

Reigning Norwegian rally champions Frank Tore Larsen and Torstein Eriksen have announced they will be competing in the second round of the 2015 FIA World Rally Championhip in Sweden in their Ford Fiesta R5.

With their 2015 title defense getting underway at Sigdalsrally on January 17th the pair have been busy working hard over the winter period to make sure their 4WD WRC debut could happen.

Running in the WRC2 class, the pair plan to use the event to enhance their working partnership.

“This is about the development of us as a driver and co-driver,” said Larsen, “but I really want to set some good stage times too. The WRC has huge scope in relation to the national rallies here in Norway so I hope that we can also make a positive impresssion on the world stage.”

Larsen and Eriksen are no strangers to Rally Sweden having competed in 2012 when they took victory in the R2 class in a Ford Fiesta R2.

“There are no words right now,” said Eriksen. “Last year I stood in the woods filming the action with just a small dream of being there myself this year. Now I am so grateful to Frank Tore for taking me on this adventure with him.”
