Konstantin Tereschenko will return to Campos Racing for a second season of the EuroFormula Open series in 2015.
The young Russian driver finished sixth in the championship last season, finishing once on the podium with a third place finish at the Hungaroring, but will be looking to make a title challenge this year.
The Moscow-born Tereschenko will join the already-confirmed Brazilian Henrique Baptista in the team for 2015, and Team Principal Adrian Campos believes that Tereschenko will be fighting for wins this time around.
“We are extremely pleased to have Konstantin at Campos Racing again,” insisted Campos. “Konstantin is a young driver, and I firmly believe that he is a rising star of Russian motorsport.
“After a positive 2014 season, claiming even a podium finish in Hungary, we are very optimistic about his chances this year. He will able to make that qualitative leap to fight for the title and race victories each weekend.”
Campos Racing ran Tereschenko alongside Spaniard Alex Palou and Briton Sean Walkinshaw in 2014, with the team finishing second in the Teams’ championship behind the dominant RP Motorsport team.
Tereschenko also attempted a GP3 Series debut in 2014 with Trident Racing, but his weekend was over early when he crashed spectacularly during practice.
