Cammish Back for Carrera Cup GB Battle

1 Mins read

2013 Dunlop MSA Formula Ford of Great Britain champion Dan Cammish is set to enter the newly re-invigorated Porsche Carrera Cup of Great Britain for 2015, joining multiple title winning squad Redline Racing.

Cammish spent the majority of his 2014 season in the GT4 classification of the ever popular British GT Championship, with Team Parker Racing in a GT4 Porsche.

He joined the Carrera Cup GB for its final round of the year on the Brands Hatch Grand Prix circuit and stunned with two pole positions and a race victory in the opening race of the weekend. In the second, a brave gamble for slicks whilst leading ultimately wouldn’t quite pay off and he ended the contest fifth.

Nationwide Accident Repair Services return to the Carrera Cup GB, providing Cammish with major backing for the season ahead. In the past they have provided backing to 1992 British Touring Car champion Tim Harvey, whom has also conquered the Carrera Cup GB twice in 2008 and 2010.

Harvey himself assisted in putting the deal together, saying “Nationwide was looking at getting involved again and the re-launched Carrera Cup GB ticked all its boxes.”

So not only do we have a fantastic young talent entering the series, he hopefully will be driving a stunning looking car. The last word to Cammish, “I know how tough the competition will be, but I want to hit the ground running and chase the title. It will be very tight all year and every point will count.”
