JamSport have announced their third driver for the 2015 Renault UK Clio Cup, with Tom Grundy joining the team for his maiden Clio campaign.
Grundy steps up to the BTCC support championship having finished third overall in the BRSCC Ford Fiesta Junior Championship last year.
The 17 year old is set to be the youngest driver on the grid this season, with fellow Fiesta graduate, Cooksport’s Rory Collingbourne being just seven days older.
Grundy will fly from his home in Dubai to each of the nine race events this year and is looking forward to the experience.
“I am really looking forward to my first season with JamSport and I can’t wait to get in to the car,” said Grundy.
“It’s going to be a bit of a learning curve at the start, but I’m sure I’ll get straight into the swing of it from race one. I am looking forward to being with the other drivers on the team and sharing our experiences.”
Grundy joins the returning Dan Holland and fellow newcomer George Jackson in the JamSport ranks for 2015.
“Tom is a great addition to our team being the youngest driver on the grid,” added team principal Sam Cotton.
“I am looking forward to watching his progress throughout the season and I believe that once he has found his feet he will definitely be one to watch. Also having Tom on the team gives us another very important comparison for our other two drivers.”
