BTCC Outfit Team BMR Joins Ginettas With Proctor

1 Mins read

Leading Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship squad Team BMR have announced they will compete in the Kick Start Energy Ginetta Junior Championship this season with Senna Proctor.

Proctor’s car will run under the ‘Team BMR’ banner, whilst being prepared by JHR Developments, the team Proctor was initially announced to be running with for the upcoming campaign.

Proctor finished the 2014 season with reigning champions JHR, taking a maiden podium finish at Knockhill and second in the Winter Series, and has already been out testing with them ahead of the new season.

For touring car aspirant Proctor, the lure of teaming up with Warren Scott’s BMR outfit was one not to miss out on as he aims for a title challenge in his second Ginetta campaign.

“It is a privilege to have signed with a team like BMR as their junior driver,” said Proctor, who will have the opportunity to work with BMR’s BTCC drivers Jason Plato, Colin Turkington and Aron Smith.

“With the calibre of drivers that they have acquired in only their third season in the BTCC, it is a great feeling to be part of that team and I look forward to working with them now and in the future.

“I want to prove myself as a BMR driver.  The goal is touring cars and hopefully Warren Scott can take me all the way!”

Team BMR’s Junior entry is part of an expansion into the BTCC support package that will also see them compete in the Renault UK Clio Cup, with Ashley Sutton their first confirmed driver for that championship.

Scott added: “I am delighted that Senna is coming on board and I’m looking forward to being involved in his journey and building what I hope will be a long term relationship between the two of us, with the team being able to offer him guidance with the huge wealth of experience that we have.”
