Ginetta Champion Oliphant Switches to Porsche

1 Mins read

Ginetta GT4 Supercup champion of 2015 Tom Oliphant has confirmed his switch to the 2016 Porsche Carrera Cup GB.

Oliphant was victorious in eight Supercup races this season and will be hoping to carry his sublime form forward as he moves up to Britain’s premier one-make GT series.

Redline Racing will be responsible for the running of Oliphant’s Type 991 911 GT3 Cup machine next season.

Having led Dan Cammish to a dominant driver’s title in 2015, the team will be keen to continue their success into the new year.

So too, is Oliphant. “I want to continue my winning ways. We are currently organising a full winter test programme to make sure that we hit the ground running. It is going to be a very tough challenge.”

To see such a high calibre of driver announce their plans so early is yet another boost for Porsche and their championship. After a fantastic 2015, the series looks set to be even better next year.
