Spa-Francorchamps will not feature on the 2016 Porsche Carrera Cup GB calendar but the series will still enjoy a World Endurance Championship support slot.
Seven TOCA supports, from Brands Hatch Indy onwards and omitting Donington Park, Thruxton and Rockingham, are included on the schedule for next season.
Round two of the series will be the first of two visits to Silverstone, the first of which will take place on the Grand Prix layout and accompany the opening WEC round.
For many teams and drivers the opportunity to try the GP layout at Silverstone may be more crucial than an overseas visit, particularly if front-running contenders from our domestic series fancy a shot at the British Grand Prix supporting Porsche Mobil1 Supercup round in the summer.
Drivers and teams who have been evaluating the boosted prize package the series is offering for 2016 (of which more here) now have a mouthwatering calendar to further whet their appetites. It is sure to be one hell of a year in the Porsche Carrera Cup GB.
