Dragon Racing trying to stay positive after technical issues

Faraday Future Dragon Racing say they are trying to remain optimistic after a disastrous Monaco ePrix for the team.

Technical issues saw both of their drivers line up on the last row of the grid, and despite making some progress in the early stages both drivers had problems with their second cars.

Jerome d’Ambrosio suffered from what the team described as a ‘powertrain malfunction’, and Loic Duval was forced to stop after he had a regenerative braking issue.

Although both cars would eventually get going again, their attempts to grab the extra point for fastest lap were also in vain.

It leaves the team with just three top ten finishes so far this season, and with three retirements in the last two races.

Speaking after the race both drivers said they were keen to move forward, with d’Ambrosio saying “It’s unfortunate to see the same issue spring up twice in one day.

“But we have to work together as a team to move forward. As a driver, you always want to be first but it’s also essential to help the team stay positive when hitches appear.”

Duval meanwhile said that the team was remaining optimistic about finding solutions to their technical issues in the coming months.

“Since the onset of the season, there’s always been a problem of concern, but we’ve remained optimistic by finding solutions”, the Frenchman said.

“Unfortunately the results today were not in line with the team’s efforts. It was hard to find pace this weekend with minimal overtaking opportunities but we still have an additional seven rounds to the championship season to improve.”
