BTC Racing

BTC Racing are a returning BTCC outfit returning following their previous visit to the grid in 2008, the Shocklach-based squad making their return in 2013.

Run by Bert Taylor, the squad made their BTCC break in 2006 towards the end of the year, team favourite Chris Stockton joined by Darren Dowling in a pair of Lexus IS 200 machines during the final two events of the year.

Nick Leason joined Stockton for just three rounds in 2007, the latter securing two top-10 finishes in the Lexus despite the team finishing bottom of the team’s championship table that year.

2008 saw truck racing champion Stuart Oliver join the team, where the Lexus machinery was ditched for a pair of SEAT Toledos, Stockton claiming an eighth place finish as the team’s best result of the year as they again sat at the bottom of the table.

After ditching plans to race two SEAT Leons in 2009, the team took a sabbatical before announcing that they will make their return during the 2013 British Touring Car Championship season, Stockton driving an NGTC-specification Chevrolet Cruze originally built for Silverline Chevrolet which never competed as RML decided not to race in 2012.
