Porsche LMP1 has locked out the top two positions of the timing screen, with both cars split by thousandths of a second, with TDS Racing ahead in LMP2, while Porsche and Ferrari lead LM GTE Pro and LM GTE Am respectively.
With pace that was unmatchable, Toyota took the fastest time of the afternoon session comprehensively, with Mike Conway putting in an incredible lap towards the beginning of the session.
For the first session of the 2017 World Endurance Championship Prologue, Porsche has ended fastest. The LMP2 class was finished with a Rebellion Racing 1-2, whilst the Porsche 911 RSRs dominated the LM GTE classes.
After what had been a dry and sunny day, the WEC paddock was scattered with intermittent rain showers throughout the final two-hour session – the Porsche #1 managed to grab the fastest time before the rain really hit the track.
