For their final 24 Hours of Le Mans outing, Ford will run four retro/champion liveries on their GTE Pro cars.
The World Endurance Championship, FIA and the Automobile Club de l’Ouest have revised the ‘Hypercar’ regulations to move away from ‘DRS’ style aerodynamics in a bid to bring in more road-hypercars for the 2020/21 season.
Since the FIA announced the cost of their 2020/21 LMP1 Hypercars would be lower than they first thought, Gickenhaus Racing have confirmed their full season and Le Mans participating in the new class.
Although McLaren have ruled out joining the FIA World Endurance Championship from the start of the ‘Hypercar’ era, in 2020, a late season entry, looking at partaking in the 2021 24 Hours of Le Mans, is “in discussion”.
