For a second consecutive season, Christina Nielsen and Alessandro Balzan secured the GT Daytona title in the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship.
The ESM Nissan DPi twins dominanted much of the 20th running of the Motul Petit Le Mans, but it was the #2 machine that took victory after team-mate Pipo Derani and the #5 Mustang Sampling Cadillac were delayed through penalties in the final hour. Wayne Taylor Racing clinch the championship but retire early in the race.

The 20th Running of the Motul Petit Le Mans will not see any nail biting close title deciders but with the Petit Le Mans is now an iconic event and every driver and team desires their names on the trophy.
Despite disrupted race preparations due to Hurricane Irma, Renger van der Zande took only the second non-Cadillac victory of the season at the America’s Tire 250 at Laguna Seca. The Wayne Taylor Racing Team finished third and can clinch the overall Weathertech SportsCar Championship just by starting Petit Le Mans.
After a disappointing defence of their title so far this year, Dane Cameron and Whelen Engineering got their title defence back on track with victory at Mosport, helped by championship leader Jordan Taylor clashing with Tommy Milner’s GTLM Corvette.

Joao Barbosa pulled off a daring overtake to snatch victory of the Sahlens Six Hours of the Glen with just 10 minute remaining. The Cadillac went around the outside of the JDC Miller Motorsports car at turn one to come out on top. BMW also secured their first GTLM victory of the season.
Five races down, and its five wins for Ricky and Jordan Taylor in 2017, but they had to do it the hard way after a crash during qualifying.

Alex Lynn ended the eighth hour of the 2017 Mobil 1 12 Hours of Sebring in the lead, as brilliant strategy and pitwork saw the #10 Wayne Taylor Racing Cadillac grab the lead from Christian Fittipaldi in the #5 Mustang Sampling Racing.
Filipe Albuquerque has dominated hours three and four of the 2017 Mobil 1 12 Hours of Sebring after a spin eliminated Eric Curran.
