In the first of our Total 24 Hours of Spa previews, we take a look at the Pro class contenders ahead of the race this weekend.
Grasser Racing Team
Grasser Racing have hit out at the Saturday night Balance of Performance change at Monza that affected their weekend, while SRO Motorsports Group has responded to the criticism.
Quick pitwork and a scintillating outlap saw the reigning Blancpain GT Champions Grasser Racing Team Lamborghini of Christian Engelhart and Mirko Bortolotti win the opening round of the Blancpain Sprint Series, ahead of the Audi WRT team.
WRT Audi secured pole for the opening round of the Blancpain Sprint Series at Zolder. Local racer Dries Vanthoor took pole for race one, while Robin Frijns secured pole for race two. Reigning Blancpain GT Champions the #63 Grasser Racing Team Lamborghini lines up second for both races.
Lamborghini clinched a double podium finish at Daytona, with the #11 Grasser Racing Team Huracan taking the win, and the #48 Paul Miller Racing Huracan in third.

Despite easing off during the 23rd Hour of the 2018 Rolex 24 at Daytona Filipe Albuquerque continued to pilot the #5 Mustang Sampling Cadillac towards victory and a new race distance record. Action Express Racing Cadillac on course for a 1-2.
The 21st hour of the 2018 Rolex 24 at Daytona saw little changes in the standings as race leader Joao Barbosa in the #5 Mustang Sampling Cadillac settled into cruise mode and focused on lengthen his stint times.
Tristan Vautier set the quickest time for the #90 Spirit of Daytona Racing Cadillac team in Thursday’s Rolex 24 at Daytona night-time practice session.
Felipe Nasr set fastest time in the Roar Before the 24 qualifying session as Cadillac continued their domination of the test by locking out the top four places in the final session.
- Blancpain Endurance Series24 Hours of Spa
Over 60 cars took part in the official test day for the 2017 Total 24 Hours of Spa with eight hours of track time available to them.
The #63 Grasser Racing Team Lamborghini Mirko Bortolotti and Christian Engelhart enjoyed a perfect weekend. They followed up a dominant qualifying race victory with a dominant main race victory which also gave them the lead of the Blancpain GT championship.
Mirko Bortolotti and Christian Engelhart #63 Grasser Racing Lamborghini Hurracan carried their blistering qualifying speed into the Blancpain Sprint Series Qualifying Race at Brands Hatch. The Lamborghini lead all but two laps to secure a comfortable victory.
Mirko Bortolotti set a stunning time to grab pole for the Qualifying Race at the second round of the Blancpain Sprint Series at Brands Hatch. The winner of the Monza Endurance round was half a second faster than anyone else to secure pole position for the first of tomorrow’s two races.
The #63 Grasser Racing Lamborghini Huracan took first blood in the first round of the Blancpain Endurance Series at Monza, with a dominant performance. Jonny Adam produced the drive of the race, after making up a half minute deficient to win Pro-Am.
The Blancpain GT Series has announced details of its biggest ever grid as 34 cars take on the Sprint Cup and a mammoth 57 cars do battle in the Endurance Cup.
