The 2019 British GT Championship Season got underway today with the annual Media Day at Donington Park where organisers, the Stephane Ratel Organisation announced a full season entry list of 36 GT3, GT4 and GTC cars.
WPI Motorsport will enter a Porsche 911 GT3 Cup car for a full season in British GT, making them the first GTC entry of 2019.
GTC cars will not return to the European Le Mans Series in 2016, while a large increase in LMP3 entries is expected, according to the ACO.

The newly formed Dempsey/Del Piero Racing squad will embark on a full season with two cars in the GTC class of the American Le Mans Series (ALMS) it has been announced, though the team will also compete in the LMGTE Am class at the 24 Hours of Le Mans.
Flying Lizard Motorsports will switch from the GT class of the American Le Mans Series (ALMS) next year, instead entering the lower GT Challenge (GTC) class with a Porsche 911 GT3 Cup for drivers Seth Neiman and Spencer Pumpelly.
Michelin will be the official tyre supplier for the LMPC and GTC classes in the 2013 European Le Mans Series.
Newly crowned IMSA Porsche GT3 Cup Challenge champion Sean Johnston will make his American Le Mans Series debut this weekend at Petit Le Mans as he joins up with GTC team JDX Racing.
