Weather Affects Practice For De Puniet

1 Mins read

The lone Pramac Ducati of Randy De Puniet felt the pinch in free practice for the Italian Grand Prix with inclement weather fast becoming a feature of this season. After setting a time good enough for only 12th in the first session, the rain came in for the afternoon’s session leaving the track in an in between state. Not dry enough but also not wet enough.

De Puniet ventured out on track however, completing more laps than any other rider, as most opted to sit in the garage.  However the Frenchman could not improve his set up in the mixed conditions and therefore failed to improve his time of 1:50.729 set in the first session.

“Today could have gone better” said De Puniet.

“It’s a shame that once again the weather has affected the bike setup. This morning wasnt bad, but I obviously can’t compare the bike from the first session to that of the afternoon. I need more time to understand which are the right choices to make.” he continued.
