Dan Wells has been named as one ten young circuit racers that are joining the prestigious MSA Academy for 2012.

Wells heads into the year trying to raise the budget for a title challenge in Formula Renault UK, after a strong 2011 campaign saw him finish runner-up in the Formula Renault UK Finals Series. Being inducted into the MSA Academy means 20 year old Wells will benefit from help and guidance from the MSA's team of experts, including a number of development sessions throughout the year – focusing on sponsorship, fitness and nutrition. The first meeting takes place on February 1st at the Porsche Human Performance Centre.

Wells said: “I'm delighted to have been invited into the MSA Academy. It means a great deal to be recognised by a scheme such as the academy and I look forward to benefitting from the expert guidance of the MSA team. I know 2012 is going to be a fantastic year with everyone's support.”
