1 Mins read

The TAG Heuer name is one with deep links to Le Mans from its associations with Ferrari in the 1970s and the cult Le Mans film which saw Steve McQueen wearing the iconic Monaco watch; So it’s perfect timing for the Swiss watchmaker to unveil their latest special edition watch at Le Mans.

Teaming up with the Nissan GT-R LM NISMO team for the upcoming race, the TAG Heuer Carrera ‘NISMO’ Calibre 16 watch has been born which will adorn the NISMO branding and colours.

“The NISMO brand is all about the desire for something extra, something innovative. And the desirability of TAG Heuer timepieces is world renowned, so a NISMO special edition TAG Heuer watch is a great way to mark our partnership,” said Darren Cox, NISMO’s Global Head of Brand, Marketing & Sales.

“We want innovation, audacity, and courage to return to the Le Mans course,” added Jean-Claude Biver, CEO of TAG Heuer . “Nissan NISMO is the perfect challenger, a pioneer when it comes to the technology in their cars, and also particularly in the way they communicate with young people using their massive social media presence. Just take a look at this car, it’s powerful, different, and breaks the mould. It’s the perfect embodiment of our #DontCrackUnderPressure campaign.”
