Club 44 are a BTCC team new to the 2013 season, run by BTCC driver Andy Neate as the former manufacturer driver’s Independent assault on the championship.
Former GT driver Neate joined the British Touring Car Championship in 2010 – having made a debut one-off appearance five years prior to then at the 2005 Brands Hatch finale – racing for West Surrey Racing in a BMW 320si in place of 2009 champion Colin Turkington.
After a baptism of fire it seemed, Neate then went on to race with Arena Ford and MG KX Momentum Racing, before leaving the latter squad at the end of 2012 to focus on his own Independent effort for 2013.
Neate will race a Chevrolet Cruze built to NGTC regulations under the IP Tech Race Engineering/Club 44 banner, making their debut officially in the second half of the 2013 season.
