Smith and O’Gorman plot 2010 plans

1 Mins read

Rob Smith and Shaun O’Gorman are already planning their assault on the 2010 Roger Albert Clark Rally, despite finishing a superb fifth place overall in this years rally less than a month ago.

Smith and O’Gorman ran their Vauxhall Chevette up against the leading Ford Escorts in this year’s rally and are aiming for an overall top three finish in 2010.

Smith says that competing on the Roger Albert is an amazing experience, “People were so good on the rally; we had a lot of moral support and the spectators were so animated,” he said. “They were jumping up and down and waving at us in the stages. We’ll definitely do the RAC again in 2010 and a top three finish is possible with the Chevette.”

Before the rally started the pair were looking just to finish, admitting that a top 10 place was a dream, “We’re chuffed to bits with the result; the Chevette really proved itself,” said Smith.
