Tickets for the opening rounds of the 2010 Superleague Formula series are on sale. The football team based series starts off the season at Silverstone, Northamptonshire.
The Superleague Formula by Sonangol will be making its first visit to the home to the British Grand Prix over the Easter weekend, the 3rd and 4th April, and motor sport fans will have the chance to support their favourite team on the track, and British teams Tottenham Hotspur and Glasgow Rangers, alongside the current Superleague Formula Champions Liverpool FC.
The British teams will be looking to take an early series lead on home turf, and the opposition won't be easy to beat, and the fans can look forward to seeing cars from Italian giants AC Milan and AS Roma, as well as Spanish giants Sevilla.
And for the price of £8 race day ticket when booked in advance, or £15 for a weekend ticket, the motor sport fans will be treated to 3 Superleague races, and support race action from the Dutch Supercar Challenge, the SPEED Series, the Caterham Superlights and the European Superkart Championships. Fans of classic race cars are also catered for, as the Grand Prix Masters and Gentleman Drivers GT & Sports Endurance Masters on the race bill.
The Competition Director, Robin Webb, said about the announcement: “I can't wait to see Superleague Formula single seaters take on Silverstone's Grand Prix layout. The circuit is known as a place where even Formula 1 cars can overtake each other, so there's certainly going to be plenty of action to savour over the weekend when you consider all the passing manoeuvres that goes on in one of our races. I can't think of a better place to kick off our season.”
