FIA Formula Two Championship organisers have announced details of two winter tests to be held at circuits in Spain before the end of the year.

The first of the two-day tests will take place at the Circuito de Jerez on 28/29 November. Located in the south of Spain, the track is a popular venue for Formula 1 testing.

The second test will be at the Circuit de Catalunya near Barcelona on 13/14 December. The track, home of the Spanish Grand Prix, will first host the F2 season finale next weekend (28-30 October).

Drivers will receive a full briefing on the 500bhp JPH1B car by the F2 engineers. Drivers will have access to data comparison and onboard video analysis, as well as receiving two sets of new tyres per day.

“We have only just announced the dates of our winter test programme but we have already received a great deal of interest from both current and new drivers,” said F2 Championship Coordinator James Gornall.

“Like the main series, we've selected F1 graded circuits and our unique data comparison facility will ensure maximum learning opportunity ahead of the 2012 season.”
