Somerfield Targets Podiums In Fourth Supercup Season

1 Mins read

Reece Somerfield has confirmed his return to the Michelin Ginetta GT4 Supercup for 2015, his fourth season in the BTCC support category.

Somerfield has been a stalwart of the Supercup since his debut in 2012, with 75 race starts to his name so far in the championship as a privateer entrant.

A top ten finisher throughout the last two seasons, with a pair of fourth places in 2013 his best so far, Somerfield hopes to be in podium contention this season.

“I am looking forward to returning to the Supercup for 2015,” said Somerfield.

“I have plenty of driving time under my belt now, so here’s hoping I can collect some champagne and silverware throughout 2015.”

Also returning to the championship meanwhile is fellow privateer Fraser Robertson, who made three appearances last year at the wheel of a Ginetta G50.

Robertson has got a new G55 GT4 for his entry into the Am class this season, likely finally bringing an end to the ageing G50’s association with the Supercup.
