Twenty-year-old Alessio Rovera will return to the DAV Racing team for the final three events of the 2015 EuroFormula Open championship season.
The Italian driver will compete for the team at Spa-Francorchamps this weekend as well as in the final two events at Monza and Barcelona, and will join fellow Italian Leonardo Pulcini and Indian driver Parth Ghorpade in a three-car line-up.
Rovera raced for DAV Racing in the opening event of the season at Jerez, winning race one, but switched to BVM Racing for the following three events before missing the fifth round of the season at the Red Bull Ring completely.
“I’m happy to welcome back Alessio in our family,” said Team Manager Matteo Davenia. “He’s a fast driver and I’m sure He will be able to fight again for the podium since Spa, this weekend.
“We did a shake-down in Misano last week, and after the success in Spielberg, Leonardo showed a great potential, as well Parth did. I’m confident we would competitive with all three cars.”
In other driver news, RP Motorsport will field Thai driver Kantadhee Kusiri this weekend at Spa-Francorchamps for his European racing debut.
