Teo Martin and Emilio de Villota squads unite for 2016 campaigns

Teo Martin Motorsport have announced a partnership with Emilio de Villota Motorsport that will see the two teams compete in three series’ in 2016.

Spanish businessman Teo Martin acquired the Formula 3.5 V8 entry and cars of DAMS when the race and championship winning squad announced its departure from the championship at the end of 2015, and will join forces with Emilio de Villota Motorsport to race there and in the EuroFormula Open and International GT Open championships in 2016.

Emilio de Villota has left his role as Team Manager of Pons Racing to oversee the operations of Teo Martin’s team across all three championships, and is excited with the new joint adventure.

“The arrival of our team at Teo Martin Motorsport is a great opportunity to aspire to higher sporting goals and share this ambitious project with the passionate promoter and patron Teo Martin and his dedicated team,” said de Villota Jr.

“We are eager and excited and now we have much work ahead and a pre-season that has just begun.”

Teo Martin Motorsport are one of three teams announced to debut in Formula 3.5 V8 in 2015, but unlike Spirit of Race and RP Motorsport they have yet to take to the track to test.
