Romain Grosjean: “I’m very happy with the car”

1 Mins read

Romain Grosjean completed the most laps so far for the Haas F1 Team on day three at the Circuit de Catalunya, while a late quick lap enable the Frenchman to set the second quickest time of the day.

Grosjean completed 82 laps around the Spanish circuit, with his time of 1m25.874s good enough to finish ahead of everyone apart from Sahara Force India driver Nico Hulkenberg.

Despite a software glitch during the afternoon session, Grosjean admitted he has been happy with the progress seen so far by the team during the test in Spain.

“The morning went without any problems,” said Grosjean. “It was a really good morning. After lunch, we had a software glitch that cost us two small runs, but once we sorted that we were able to do some more mileage.

“The idea is to see how far the parts can go and which ones will be the first to go, so we did a good job in that aspect. We did the most laps so far in this test, so that’s good.

“Generally, I’m very happy with the car, very positive. I like driving it. The guys are doing a good job. We found some set-up improvements, so that’s very positive for everyone.”
