After the new year, Skoda Motorsport has again had a visit from teams that waited a long time to pick up their new Skoda Fabia RS Rally2, three more cars have now found new owners.
The Italian 2022 WRC Masters champion Mauro Miele was able to bring home a new car, through DreamOne Racing, which is one of the teams the Italian collaborated with during the 2022 season towards the title.
Miele will use the car immediately, already in Rallye Monte-Carlo he will be on the start line with the new Skoda Fabia RS Rally2. The soon-to-be 67-year-old Italian made the drive of his life on the power stage in Rally Japan, finishing second overall in the stage where only Craig Breen in a Ford Puma Rally1 was ahead.
“I’ve been following [the car’s] development, ss soon as it was clear when it was coming, I said I wanted it. When I look at it, it seems like a huge leap forward and I like that. I hope it will be a good season, but it will be difficult to defend the title. I’m expecting more competition and I’ll be 67 years old for Monte.” Miele said.
