2012 Porsche Carrera Cup GB Scholarship winner Daniel Lloyd has confirmed he will join Team Parker Racing for the upcoming season.

Announced at the Autosport International show, the deal will see Huddersfield-based Lloyd join the Leicestershire-based squad for his maiden Porsche campaign.

19 year old Lloyd said: “The team has a great reputation. Everyone always says Team Parker is one of the very best out there so it's an amazing opportunity for me to race with them for my first year in Porsche GB. This is such a massive opportunity, to be able to benefit from the huge experience and knowledge Stuart (Parker) and the team has is going to be so important.

“My goal is to try and get a podium finish as soon as possible, I really want to make a big impression on this first year. The way I look at it, winning the scholarship has given me one big shot at making that kind of impression so I'm going to work harder than ever and try and shock a few of the experienced guys along the way!”

Team Principal Stuart Parker added: “Daniel is an exciting prospect, he has shown well in testing with us and we're looking forward to working with him. I think he'll be competitive straight out of the box.”
