MacLeod Takes Win on Return to British F3 at Snetterton

1 Mins read

Series returnee Sam MacLeod took victory in race one at Snetterton in the Cooper Tires British Formula 3 Championship to lead a Fortec Motorsport 1-2-3.

MacLeod go the jump on teammates Martin Cao and Matt Rao from pole position and never looked back, despite the best efforts of Cao  in 2nd.

Behind the leading Fortec-trio was Camren Kaminsky, with the Double R Racing driver managing to avoid a spinning Andy Chang on the opening lap to head Carlin’s Lhi Zhi Cong over the line.

Out front though was the unassailable Macleod, who took the victory after Cao’s victory charge faded during the final laps of the race, following a number of lock-ups for the Chinese driver in pursuit of the win.

Rao finished third to make it yet another Fortec podium lock-out, with Kaminksy enduing  a lonely race to 4th and ahead of a recovering Chang in 5th.
