Seyfried Joins CWM FX Backed SV Racing For Clio Cup

1 Mins read

SV Racing have announced international financial trading company CWM FX as a new title sponsor for the 2015 Renault UK Clio Cup, with Ben Seyfried confirmed as their latest driver for the upcoming season.

CWM FX, led by Anthony Constantinou, are heavily involved in sports sponsorship, with partnerships with Chelsea Football Club and Wigan Warriors Rugby Club joined by title backing of the LCR Honda Moto GP team.

“I’m absolutely delighted to announce our partnership with market leader, CWM FX. It’s a significant achievement for SVR,” said team boss Danny Buxton.

“There are key synergies between our strategic ambitions and the sporting ventures already operating under the CWM FX umbrella. The collaboration will deliver many exciting opportunities to both sides and I can’t wait to get started.”

All four of SV’s fourth-generation Clio Cup cars will run in an identical livery to the LCR Honda Moto GP bike ridden by British ace Cal Crutchlow, with successful club racer Seyfried the team’s second driver signing after Ant Whorton-Eales.

The 40 year old is a three-time Super Mighty Mini champion, and has also been crowned vice-champion in the Fun Cup during an extensive career of racing in the national scene.

“The whole thing is very exciting, but I’m under no illusions; my undertaking is huge and I’ll be up against some really good drivers in the Renault UK Clio Cup,” commented Seyfried.

“I will need to raise my game and I know there’s still a lot to learn with the Clio Cup car, every day in a racecar is a learning day and the transition during testing hasn’t been easy.

“I’m thrilled to be racing for the best team on the grid because I’m not keen on the idea of trailing around at the back.”
