Subaru Rally Team USA have announced a three-car driver lineup for the final rounds of the Red Bull Global Rallycross season in Los Angeles.

David Higgins and Chris Atkinson will carry on for the team, and they will be joined by two-time Production World Rally Championship champion Toshi Arai.

“I’m very excited to work with Subaru Rally Team USA and compete behind the wheel of a 600HP WRX STI rallycross car,” said Arai. “I’ve kept a close watch on Red Bull GRC so I really look forward to the opportunity Subaru has offered me to race in the series.”

Arai will likely drive the team’s latest car which has so far made only one appearance this season, in the hands of Atkinson in Atlantic City.

“I’ve really enjoyed working with the Subaru team this year and getting my seat time in GRC,” said Atkinson. “It’s been fun and challenging so far, and now with a few races completed with the Subaru team, I know we can fight at the front in LA.”

Higgins outings at the double header in LA means that this will be his most extensive Red Bull GRC campaign for a number of years and he’s looking forward to getting back behind the wheel.

“Seattle was a fun and challenging event for my return to GRC this year,” said the multiple Rally America champion. “It will be great to finish the season strong in LA, we have a huge Subaru following there to cheer us on. I look forward to giving them a great show and result!”
