Pidgley Reunites With Team Pyro For 2017 Clio Cup

1 Mins read

Ollie Pidgley has reunited with Team Pyro, the outfit with whom he made his car-racing debut, as he returns for a second season in the Renault UK Clio Cup in 2017.

Pidgley competed in the Michelin Clio Cup Series with Pyro back in 2013/14, before returning to the Clio fold this year following a season in single-seater competition.

The 19 year old’s Clio Cup debut came with the Ciceley Motorsport squad, with a best finish of tenth coming on two occasions at Donington Park and Silverstone.

Pidgley has already got some seat time under his belt with Pyro, completing a test at Snetterton before contesting an MSV Allcomers event at Brands Hatch.

“I’m so happy to be back with Team Pyro for next season. It’s where I started in cars in 2013, I was only 15 when I first tested with them,” said Pidgley.

“I get on with all of the boys really well, Mark [Hunt] runs an incredible team and I want to win for them.

“There’s a lot for me to build on from last season, I’m confident we can be as strong as Josh Price [race winner and multiple podium finisher] was with Pyro this year.”
