#24 – Kristian Poulsen
Kristian Poulsen heads into his third season of World Touring Car Championship action with his own team after racing alongside Franz Engstler in the Liqui Moly Team Engstler team in 2009. Poulsen went on to finish sixth in the Yokohama Independents Trophy last year, however his performances were disappointing as he failed to get a third of the points that Engstler scored, his best overall result of the season was a tenth, with a second place finish in the Independents Trophy.
Poulsen has not always been a Touring Car driver, the early days of his career saw him compete in the Danish and German rally Championship before a move into Touring Cars in 2007 when he raced in the Danish series and took a best result of seventh en route to eighteenth overall. He faired a tad better in the ETCC of 2007, finishing third overall.
His first win in a Touring Car came in 2008, when he won in Denmark finishing eleventh overall in the Championship.
Season Prediction: Looking to build on last 2 years experiences and break into the top 8 for the first time, taking his first Independent victory. Topping the Independent BMW pack would be the ultimate aim. Points could happen with the new points system introduced by the FIA.
TCF Driver Prediction: Solid top 10 Independent Championship runners, breakthrough outright top 8 finish would cap the season off.
