The 15 minute Warm up session for the WTCC saw Andy Priaulx top the times for the first time this weekend, on a drying track ahead of weekend pace setter Augusto Farfus.
On a drying track after rain during the night, the times that the drivers were setting were slightly slower than times set in qualifying yesterday, with Priaulx setting a best time of 1m24.658, with Farfus setting a 1m24.936.
In total, only three drivers set times below the 1m25 mark, Yvan Muller being the first driver to set a 1m25 time, as he finished 4th overall. The top 8 times were within a second of Priaulx's best time.
The session was stopped 2 minutes early after Tom Coronel crashed, and as there was a limited amount of time left on the clock, the decision was made not to restart the session.
The fastest rookie in the session was Norbert Michelisz, the Zengo-Denison driver finishing a respectable 9th fastest, just over a second slower than Priaulx.
Fastest Independent went to the Liqui Moly Team Engstler car of Franz Engstler, who set the 12th fastest time overall, his best time being a 1m25.995s.
