Portuguese racer Cesar Campanico will make his World Touring Car Championship debut at the 2010 season finale in Macau. He will drive a BMW 320si run by his own Team Novadriver Total operation.
Campanico took part in the opening round of the FIA European Touring Car Cup this year at Braga, winning the second race. He has previous experience of the legendary street circuit, having raced in the Macau Grand Prix in 2002 and 2003, finishing 10th and then 9th.
Campanico competed in a variety of single-seater categories, including Formula BMW, Formula Renault, Formula Three and A1 Grand Prix. He switched to touring cars in 2006 by racing in the Eurocup Megane Trophy, before racing in the Portuguese Touring Car Championship from 2007 when he won his class. He then won the championship overall in 2008. In 2010 he has been racing an Audi R8 in Spanish GT, winning the GTS class.
