Skoda will have a strong lineup at the wheel of its Skoda Fabia S2000s for the Monte Carlo Rally, as it begins the defence of its Intercontinental Rally Challenge Manufacturers' and Drivers' titles that it won in 2010. The Czech marque will also introduce a new livery for the legendary event.
A total of 10 Skoda Fabia S2000s will compete at the rally, which runs from the 19th to the 22nd of this month. The Skoda Motorsport factory team will enter its regular partnership of reigning champion Juho Hanninen and Jan Kopecky. In addition to this, there will be several big names behind the wheel of a Skoda, such as Skoda UK Motorsport's new signing Andreas Mikkelsen, 2008 IRC champion Nicolas Vouilloz, Freddy Loix, who won three IRC rallies in 2010, and Mark Wallenwein of Skoda Auto Germany.
Skoda Motorsport will run under a new livery, which uses the white and green shades that have become synonymous with the Skoda brand. The design will be in contrast to that used in recent years though, with the white and green reversed. The front doors will also bear a logo commemorating Skoda's 110 years of participation in motorsport.
