1 Mins read

The support program originally founded by Subaru in 2005 will make a return to the RallyCar setup in 2011, with a total fund of 20,000 USD available at each event.

Targeting Subaru entries in the Super Production class, the fund aims to aid competitors development of their machines, as well as drawing more interest into the category which sits between the Open class and the Production

RallyCar’s Managing Director J.B. Niday said “I am very pleased that Subaru of America is, once again, supporting the SP class”, before pointing out the low budget aspect of the SP class, “SP allows some very talented drivers to compete within a modest budget”.

Speaking of the announcement, Subaru of America’s Motorsport Marketing Manager, James Han, said “The sheer number and variety of eligible entries registered for our Subaru Rally Support Program year-after-year bear out the success of this contingency program. Subaru remains committed in supporting our privateers and growing the count of Subaru entries within the Rally America National Championship and further strengthening our position as the preferred AWD brand in rally racing”.
