The first round of the Rally America National Championship greeted the crews and fans alike with the traditional Arctic temperatures, and the action that ensued was breathtaking, as history was made at the season opener.
Super Production class driver Travis Hanson drove a solid event as others faltered, which saw Hanson claim the top spot of the podium at the rally end.
Amongst those falling by the wayside was former British Rally Champion David Higgins, and reigning Rally America National Championship champion Antoine L'Estage, whose last victory in Michigan came back in 2008 at the wheel of a Hyundai Tiburon.
On his way to victory Hanson fought with, and defeated, Dave Mirra in the factory backed Subaru.
