Formula Renault BARC Set For First Media Day

1 Mins read

The team behind the Protyre Formula Renault BARC Championship have announced Friday 18th March as the date for its inaugural media day. The event, featuring all the teams and drivers for the forthcoming 2011 season, will take place at the 'Home of British Motorsport' Silverstone.

Entry levels for the series are booming, with three new teams joining the series as well as a host of new drivers. Up to twenty cars are expected on the grid for the series opener at Donington Park in April.

The event will provide interview and photography opportunities for the media, while also in attendance will be a representative from the Lotus Renault GP Driver Fitness Programme, who will showcase the Championship's new exclusive fitness scheme.

The event will run alongside the Championship's first official pre-season test, where the drivers will get their first chance to size up their 2011 rivals around the National Circuit.

Championship Promoter Simon North commented: “We're very excited about our first ever media day and look forward to meeting members of the press as well as making some exciting announcements about the series. Along with interview and photography opportunities, we'll also be filming the event for the Championship's new YouTube channel.”
