MSV F3 Cup Driver To Receive F2 Test Drive Prize

1 Mins read

Organisers of the MSV F3 Cup have revealed details of its prize FIA Formula Two Championship test drive, which will be awarded to the most outstanding performer over the course of the inaugural season.

With the new to 2011 series, run by MotorSport Vision Racing (MSVR), formed by a series of stand-alone races, no overall champion will be crowned.

With cars of varying age set to be on show, the prize will therefore be given to the driver who is chosen to have performed best over the course of the season in the standard of car they are driving.

To be eligible, drivers must attend at least seven of the 9 scheduled events, starting a minimum of one race at each.

The decision of who wins will be made after the final race of the year by an expert judging panel consisting of Jonathan Palmer, Chief Executive of MotorSport Vision, International motorsport commentators David Addison and Ian Titchmarsh, Autorsport Magazine’s National Editor Kevin Turner and Racing Editor at Motorsport News, Matt James.

The test drive winner will also receive two sets of tyres from Avon Tyres Motorsport for use at the test.

Race Operations Director for MSVR, David Scott said: “We're delighted to secure such an eminent panel of knowledgeable and respected figures from the motorsport industry to judge the most meritorious driver of the inaugural MSV F3 Cup. The F2 test prize represents a fantastic opportunity for a club motorsport competitor to sample top international machinery and the winner will not necessarily be the person who wins the most races – they might not win any!”

The MSVR F3 Cup gets underway at Snetterton on 19/20 March as part of the first race meeting to take place on the new 300 circuit.
