1 Mins read

Russian driver David Sigacev will join the World Touring Car Championship for the next round at Valencia, racing a BMW run by Team Engstler.

The 22-year-old will be entered under the Deteam KK Motorsport banner, thus replacing Marchy Lee who has been absent since contesting the opening three rounds of the season.

Sigacev has been based in Germany for the majority of his career, winning the DMV Karting Championship in 2006 at the age of 15. He moved onto Formula Renault for 2007, before switching to sportscars and racing in the German Porsche Carrera Cup in 2009 and 2010. This season he has been racing a Mercedes SLS AMG in the ADAC GT Masters series.
