Hong Kong's Charles Ng will race in the World Touring Car Championship for the first time when he joins Engstler Motorsport for the three Asian rounds that conclude the season.

The 27-year-old previously enjoyed a successful career in drifting, but last year won the Asian Touring Car Series in a Honda Integra.

He will drive a fourth BMW run by the German squad, alongside regular drivers Franz Engstler and Kristian Poulsen as well as the KK Motorsport-run car of Masaki Kano. Ng's car will be an older 320si with 2.0L normally aspirated engine rather than the turbocharged 320 TC used by the other drivers.
