Tobias Hegewald recorded the fastest time of the day during Friday's two free practice sessions at Barcelona's Circuit de Catalunya ahead of the FIA Formula Two season finale.
The morning session took place in wet conditions, with local driver Miki Monras going quickest with a time of 2:02.568s. Champion Mirko Bortolotti was second-best, sixth tenths behind. Jack Clarke was third, just ahead of Mikkel Mac, Kelvin Snoeks, Hegewald and Benjamin Lariche.
The circuit was drying out come the afternoon, with Hegewald hitting the front half way through the session and remaining there with a time of 1:38.333s. Bortolotti was second, 0.286s away. Mihai Marinescu was fourth, ahead of early session pacesetter Christopher Zanella, Monras and Clarke.
