Manor Competition have announced they will run three cars in November's Protyre Formula Renault Finals Series, with the teams regular driver Jordan King being joined by two Formula Renault UK newcomers, Nick McBride and Hector Hurst.

Podium finishers and consistent frontrunner King remains with the team for the six round championship, which takes place at Snetterton and Rockingham over the next two weekends. 17 year old King will be looking to win the series after a strong maiden UK campaign, though some serious misfortune through the year saw him finish eighth overall.

Australian racer McBride will make his 'slicks and wings' debut during the Finals Series, graduating from the British Formula Ford campaign. The 20 year old from Melbourne finished the year a superb third overall after taking one race win and a string of podiums, also finishing third in the prestigious Formula Ford Festival.

Hurst heads into the Finals Series after a tough year in the Protyre Formula Renault BARC Championship. The 19 year old has been rapid throughout the campaign, but a run of misfortune left him with just two top five finishes to his name. The racer from Lymington, Hampshire, will be looking to impress in his UK class debut.

Manor Competition team principal Tony Shaw said: “We're delighted to welcome Nick and Hector to the team and obviously very happy to continue working with Jordan for the Finals Series. It looks like being the strongest ever entry for the championship, which is fantastic news, so we're looking forward to seeing how well our three guys go against such tough competition.

“The standard is sure to be incredibly high but we're looking to redress the balance after such a difficult season in the main championship. We lost the chance of several podiums this year, and a first win for Jordan, due to some bad luck so hopefully we can put that to bed. We're hungrier than ever to compete for podiums and wins!”
