Japanese driver Masaki Kano will make another appearance in the World Touring Car Championship at his home round at Suzuka.

The 35-year-old has been a regular in the Asian rounds of the series in recent years. He made his debut at the first WTCC Race of Japan at Okayama in 2008 with Team Engstler and also raced at the subsequent Macau round. He raced with the German team again at Okayama in 2009, and last year competed with them at Macau.

This year he will again drive a BMW run by Engstler, but in the car entered under the DeTeam KK Motorsport banner. The car was previously driven by Marchy Lee earlier in the season and by David Sigacev at the last round in Valencia.
