2011 Formula Renault UK Finals Series Vice-Champion Dan Wells has become an ambassador for the new Motorsport XS website.
Motorsport XS is a new membership scheme for fans that aims to make motorsport more accessible to them. The company has been working for over a year to arrange discounts with over sixty different partners in Motorsport for its members, with membership costing from £20.
Speaking at the Autosport International Show, Wells told TheCheckeredFlag.co.uk: “I’m trying to give fans an insight into what it is like behind the scenes of being an ambitious young racing driver – I try to be as open as possible via social media to motorsport blogs, which ties in with my GoFundMe page, where fans are able to sponsor my championship challenge this year. All this means Motorsport XS is a perfect brand fit for the two of us, involving the motorsport fans.”
Dan also announced that he would be supporting the Henry Surtees Foundation throughout the season. The brain and physical injury charity was set up following the death of promising young racer Henry Surtees in 2009 and is a charity close to many drivers heart.
20 year old Wells added: “At the end of last year I went to the Henry Surtees Trophy kart race at Buckmore Park and it’s a great cause. John Surtees has been a great help to me throughout my short career, I have a lot of respect for him and I’m very pleased to be supporting the foundation this year.”

Wells hopes to mount a title challenge in the 2012 Formula Renault UK Championship and you can help him achieve that goal by sponsoring him at www.gofundme.com/danwellsracing.
