Sunred Engineering WTCC drivers Tiago Monteiro, Andrea Barlesi and Fernando Monje will use the outfit's own turbocharged petrol engine from this weekend in Valencia.
All three used a SEAT 2.0 turbo-diesel engine in their Leons at the opening round of the season at Monza, with Monje using his to claim a double ETC Cup win ahead of his WTCC debut in Valencia.
As the delay in sufficient parts for SEAT Sport's brand new turbocharged petrol engine continues, all three will switch to the engine that Sunred introduced during the 2011 season and use that until SEAT's new powerplant becomes available to them.
There will still be one TDI-engined Leon on the grid this weekend, driven by Special Tuning Racing's Tom Boardman – who missed out on the Monza round altogether due to a lack of available engine.
