Stefan Bradl was much happier after the second day of the Qatar Grand Prix weekend after going ninth fastest. The German wasn't comfortable on Thursday and was comfortably slower than the other factory/satellite riders but bounced back today to outpace Alvaro Bautista on the other customer Honda.
Bradl found over two seconds from his Thursday best and commented that the handling of the LCR Honda RC213V was much more to his liking.
“Today I rode the bike: yesterday the bike was riding me! We made a big improvement compared to yesterday. Already after few laps I was capable to improve my pace and I immediately had a good balance. We improved the bike handling and the front feeling using new tyres and being more precise in every corner but I am still missing some confidence in the fast corners. Today we are also closer to the front and this is the place where we like to be”.
Bradl was on pole for the Moto2 race last year and his first ever MotoGP qualifying session is due to start at 4:55pm UK time on Saturday.
