The trio of factory Chevrolets were again on top in the two free practice sessions for the WTCC Race of Brazil at Curitiba, with Gabriele Tarquini again the best of the rest for SEAT.

Just as in the test session on Friday, Yvan Muller, Rob Huff and Alain Menu quickly moved ahead in the first session. Muller improved as the session went on, getting down to a 1m22.689s. Huff finished up 0.303s behind, with Menu 0.539s behind.

Tarquini was exactly a tenth behind Menu, beating the bamboo engineering Chevrolets of Michel Nykjaer and Alex MacDowall which were both within a second of the pace.

Norbert Michelisz was this time the best of the BMWs in eighth, ahead of the SEATs of Darryl O'Young and Aleksei Dudukalo, while Mehdi Bennani completed the top ten in his BMW.

Muller was again fastest in the second session, but only managing a 1m23.124s. Huff was 0.369s behind, with Menu 0.659s shy.

Tarquini was eight tenths off the pace, with Tiago Monteiro going well in his Sunred-powered Leon to finish fifth and only nine tenths from Muller.

MacDowall and Nykjaer were next up, while Tom Boardman impressed with the eighth best time. Fellow Toms Coronel and Chilton were ninth and tenth.

Qualifying takes place at 20:00 BST.
